TBS Family and Youth Strategy

Background

In January 2010, CDMH and the TBS Accountability, Communications, and Training Team (Super TACT) recommended that a workgroup be created to develop a family and youth strategy. The goal of the strategy is to engage family and youth in culturally competent ways to promote the Nine-Point Plan and to improve local TBS efforts.

The TBS Family and Youth Strategy Workgroup met regularly since February 2010 to design a strategy which is based on the following framework:

  • Information and Communication
  • Engaging with Parents and Parent Organizations
  • Partnering with other Agencies
  • Family, Youth and MHP Training
  • Evaluation

Strategy implementation efforts are commencing in September 2010.
