I am pleased to welcome you to the Department of Mental Health’s Vacaville Psychiatric Program. Since 1988, we have been providing high quality mental health care to inmates incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections at the California Medical Facility. The pioneering partnership between DMH and CDC improves year by year. We are constantly striving to improve treatment efficacy and efficiency to better serve the needs of inmates and the staff caring for them.

The face of mental health delivery in California is ever changing. At the Vacaville Psychiatric Program, dedicated mental health professionals are committed to providing the best psychiatric treatment with the latest treatment technology available to us within a safe and secure environment.

As a psychiatric treatment program within a correctional facility, we are committed to providing treatment within a therapeutic environment.
