Written Correspondence

All Individuals have the right to have ready access to letter writing materials provided by the hospital and to mail and receive unopened correspondence.  Cash should not be sent directly to the Individual but sent or deposited to the Hospital Trust Office.  The Individual is able to withdraw funds for personal items.

Telephone Use

Individuals have the right to have reasonable access to telephones and to make and receive confidential calls.

All units have pay phones for Individuals’ use.  Individuals are permitted to use the phone for making and receiving calls.  The number may be obtained from the Individual and/or unit staff.
