Patients may use the public telephone on the unit where they live. Patients must call collect from the public telephone. Patients may also receive incoming calls on their unit if they, or another patient, is available to answer the public telephone between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:30 PM (no collect or third-number billing calls will be accepted.)
If you are unable to reach a patient using the public telephone, contact Telecommunications at (805) 468-2000. Ask the operator to leave a message with the patient's social worker for him to call you.
