The Department of Mental Health (DMH) Director established the Cultural Competence Advisory Committee(CCAC) as an advisory group to DMH Office of Multicultural Services as mandated in the Federal Waiver Request. This group plays a critical role in supporting the Department in the development and direction of cultural competency standards. The CCAC is comprised of representatives from the California Mental Health Directors Association, mental health consumers and family members, cultural competency consultants, ethnic-specific programs, and university affiliates.
